A woman at a window at sunrise

About

I am the elder daughter.

ERSELF began as a private folder of voice memos. The kind you record at 11 p.m. when the house is finally quiet and you can hear yourself think. I called it ERSELF because, for a long time, I forgot there was a her underneath the eldest, the responsible one, the second mother.

This site is the slow public version of that folder. It is essays on growing up too fast, on healing in adulthood, on mindset, and on the quiet, unglamorous work of becoming yourself.

It is also a field guide. I am walking the pre-med road, and I am sharing the resources, frameworks, and honest reflections I wish someone had handed me — for pre-med, nursing, and PA school applications.

A child's struggles. An adult's growth. Both, gently, at once.
